received 24 March 2010: This message was a copy and paste from the TfL site
about the validity of Pay As You Go on National Rail since January 2010. We have no idea why anyone would send it or
why they felt the need to do so anonymously. How many times on this site is it made clear
that the issue was nothing to do with Pay As You Go, and why are you trying
to prove some point, given that Virgin have already admitted that they were
wrong? Pay As You Go was not accepted
anywhere on National Rail at the time of the incident, so this could not be
less relevant to anything. If you come
back and read this, we'd gladly assist you in understanding ticketing on
National Rail (perhaps you work for Virgin, in which case you definitely need
help). _________________________________________________ Message
received 15 June 2009: "Oyster
cards are issued under TFL conditions of carriage. They are NOT issued under
the National Rail conditions of carriage in any way. It is up to the
individual TOC if they participate in the Oyster scheme or not, and Virgin
Trains has obviously chosen not to. They are in the right, you are in the
wrong and you are a moron. Next time buy the right ticket and check all the
facts before you set up websites spouting utter crap." Comment:
It
difficult to see why anyone would happen upon this site and then, without
reading a word of it, proceed straight to the contact form, primed with key
phrases which don't appear in the site, but have previously been used by
Virgin Trains in their obfuscations.
You are Virgin Trains Customer Services AICMFP. Incidentally, you might as well refer to
the issue of a pair of trousers, since that can be used to contain a ticket
as well. The ticket is issued under
the National Rail Conditions of Carriage, regardless of the container in
which it is stored. __________________________________________________ Message

ought to get a life - pursuing this small vendetta will make you ill" Comment: It's lying down,
accepting bad treatment and abandoning self-respect that makes a person
ill. Doing something about it is
therapy. |
